Xiangyu Ouyang

OUYANG Xiangyu Joined Legend Capital in 2004 as a Managing Director in charge of investments in IT technology and products. After 2011, he built up the team and led the investments in healthcare sector at the firm. OUYANG Xiangyu is a member of the Management Committee and Investment Committee.

OUYANG Xiangyu has been a practitioner in the venture capital industry for 8 years and in the IT industry for 16 years. He has rich experience in company strategies, corporate governance, business operation, and venture investing. Some of the IT investments led by OUYANG Xiangyu include Universe Media, Sling Media (acquired by EchoStar), Jolimark (HK:2028), Fortinet (NASDAQ:FTNT), Chipsbank, Lakala, WEP, ChinaPet, Digital China Jinxin, Zhuhai Seine Technology, Eben, eedoo and CalSys. Some of his healthcare deals are BONOVO, Reach Surgical, Access Medical, Beijing Berrygenomics and U-Topstar. OUYANG Xiangyu is now serving as Board Director in the following companies invested by Legend Capital: Lakala, Zhuhai Seine Technology, ChinaPet, Eben, eedoo, CalSys, Reach Surgical, Access Medical, Beijing Berrygenomics and U-Topstar.

OUYANG Xiangyu joined Legend Group in 1992 and worked on management positions of several business units, including R&D, Product BU, and Business Development and Investment Management departments.

OUYANG Xiangyu graduated from Wuhan University in 1986 with a bachelor’s degree from the Radio Department. In 1992, he received a master’s degree in Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University, and in 2009, he received his EMBA degree from the Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business.
