Pascal Coenen is one of the European pioneers in the used mobile devices retail trade-in space. He started a retail in-store software trade-in company in 2002 and grew it rapidly to reach a network of 1,200 affiliated stores in Benelux, Spain, Portugal, and, Romania ranging from Telecom operators, retail chains, and online platforms like Orange, Proximus, Telenet, Media Markt, Saturn, Carphone Warehouse.

To face the volume, Pascal has founded a processing/refurbishing company in Eastern Europe of 6000 sq.m. with 65 employees with a monthly throughput of 65.000 units. Compromising under constraints between inventory velocity and residual value optimisation has always been part of his job.

Pascal has developed strong B2B re-commerce channels in Asia, Africa, and Europe. He surrounded himself with a robust network of global partners over the years to upgrade products’ residual value. After a decade - and 2.5 million(!) phones traded in, he successfully sold his company to Hyla Mobile.

After that, Pascal has carried his mission to find the best routes to collect and repurpose second-hand mobile devices. He has helped players like Brightstar with global trading services with a special focus on developing high-value B2B channels.
