Paul Southworth

As President and CEO, Southworth shepherded the medical-device company CircuLite from its founding in 2004 to its successful exit in late 2013. The developer and manufacturer of circulatory-support active implantable devices for heart failure was acquired by HeartWare for $30 million upfront and up to $320 million in milestone payments over ten years. Prior to CircuLite, Southworth served in key executive roles at Datascope (1999-2004), Boston Scientific (1996-1999), and other prominent health technology companies. In these roles Southworth managed international businesses in major world markets including having been based in Europe. He earned his MBA (Business Management) and BA (Business Administration) from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
