Bio
Peter Juhas joined AIG in May 2011 as the Head of Global Strategic Planning.
Prior to joining AIG, he was a Managing Director in the Investment Banking Division of Morgan Stanley, specializing in insurance and diversified financial institutions. From September 2008 to April 2011, Mr. Juhas served as lead advisor to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and the United States Department of the Treasury on the AIG restructuring and recapitalization. Mr. Juhas also served as lead advisor to U.S. Treasury on the rescue of the government sponsored enterprises Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in 2008.
During his eleven-year career at Morgan Stanley, he worked on numerous other transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, IPOs and secondary offerings, leveraged buyouts, hybrids and debt offerings.
Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Mr. Juhas was an Associate in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group of Sullivan & Cromwell, the New York law firm. He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College with a degree in Economics and cum laude from Harvard Law School.
