Peter Wanless

Peter is the CEO of the NSPCC, a charity whose vision is to end cruelty to children in the UK. He is advancing the NSPCC's efforts to demonstrate through evidence and practice better ways of protecting children from abuse, preventing abuse from occurring and transforming attitudes through essential legislative and behaviour change. Services include ChildLine (there 24/7 for any young person with nowhere else to turn) the NSPCC Helpline (there 24/7 for any adult concerned about a child) and direct to vulnerable children and families via its network of service centres. He was the Big Lottery Fund's Chief Executive 2008 - 2013 and previously a Director at the Department of Education.
