Ravi Kalathil

Ravi Kalathil has over 30 years experience in the development and management of Information Technology and over 19 years experience as the top level executive responsible for healthcare technology strategy and leadership.

Prior to his focus on healthcare, he worked at Hughes Aircraft, multiple companies on Wall Street and the SWIFT Worldwide Interbank Consortium. Before joining Fresenius Medical Care, he was with Gambro Healthcare for 9 years, holding both CIO and CTO titles. From 2001 to 2003, Mr. Kalathil was Senior Vice President and General Manager at a healthcare startup venture providing business to business integration, disease management and clinical trials solutions to the payer, provider, pharmaceutical and biotech industries.

Since October 2003, he has been Chief Information Officer at Fresenius Medical Care, North America. He has a BSc in Physics and an MBA and postgraduate degrees and certificates in Computer Science and Management from the University of Colorado and the Sloan School of Management, MIT. He holds multiple engineering patents and has served on the Technical and Industrial Advisory Boards and CIO councils for various technology companies and universities.
