Rebekka Shaak

Rebekka is thrilled to be a member of the American Honors team. Prior to joining AH, she spent three years in Memphis, Tennessee teaching high school and elementary Spanish through Teach For America. Highlights from her teaching career include leading workshops on the college application process for high school seniors, writing and implementing her own Spanish curricula, and completing her Master of Education at Christian Brothers University while teaching full time.

Rebekka earned her bachelor’s degree from Muhlenberg College in Pennsylvania, where she graduated with a double major in Spanish and Media & Communication, and academic honors. She was actively involved in her campus community and served as the president of her a cappella musical group, sang in the college select choir, tutored peers in Spanish, and studied abroad in Spain for five months.
