Over the past 23-years, Reg Hollinger completed M&A and corporate finance transactions with a total cumulative aggregate value of over $97 billion. Having worked as an investment banker for thirteen years and having run a private equity firm for a decade, Reg Hollinger has a balanced mix of client advisory and principal investing experience. Reg currently advises senior executives throughout all phases of the business growth cycle, from the venture-stage to the mature-growth companies based on his extensive transactional and business investment expertise.

From 2011 – 2012, Reg Hollinger was a Managing Director at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey Inc., based in Atlanta, GA. At SunTrust, Reg Hollinger executed investment banking transactions on behalf of middle market companies in the beverages, consumer services, and consumer products industries.

From 2000 – 2010, Reg Hollinger was a Managing General Partner and co-founder of Quetzal/J.P. Morgan Partners, LP (“Quetzal”, which is pronounced KATE-sal), a $170 million private equity partnership based in New York City that specialized in making growth equity and venture investments in the ethnic media and communications space. Quetzal made a total of seven portfolio company investments and often performed the role of lead financial investor.

Reg Hollinger served on the board of six of Quetzal’s portfolio companies. On two of Quetzal’s most successful investments, namely Blue Chip Broadcasting Inc. and Inner City Media Corporation, Reg Hollinger served on the audit committee of the board.

From 1989 – 2000, Reg Hollinger worked as an investment banker in a variety of senior roles. Prior to co-founding Quetzal in 2000, Reg Hollinger was a Managing Director in the Global Media and Telecommunications Group of Chase Securities, Inc.

Before joining Chase Securities in 1999, he was a Managing Director and an Investment Banking Group Head at PaineWebber Incorporated from 1997 – 1999. During his tenure at PaineWebber, Reg Hollinger served on the board of Advanced Communications Group, Inc., a telecommunications company whose common stock was listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

From 1989 – 1997, Reg Hollinger worked at Morgan Stanley & Co. Incorporated where he was a Principal focused on client coverage and sourcing M&A advisory and corporate finance mandates in the media and telecommunications industry.

Reg Hollinger holds a B.A. from Williams College and a M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School. He currently resides in Essex Fells, NJ with his wife and two children.
