Renee is the Founder and Executive Director of PeaceGeeks, a Vancouver-based non-profit organization that focuses on leveraging technology to strengthen peacebuilding, human rights and humanitarian response. Founded in 2011, PeaceGeeks has worked in more than 18 countries in the global south to explore how technology and innovation can strengthen the impact of both small community-based NGOs and international institutions alike in these areas.

Renee’s experience includes over eight years as a Business Analyst and Technology Project Manager in the private sector along with two years as an expert on the Women, Peace & Security framework, including with the United Nations and the Global Network of Women Peacebuilders. Renee holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) from Dalhousie University and a Masters of International Affairs (Hons) from the University of Ottawa. She is a Fellow of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations.
