Richard Thornton

Richard joined Cint in 2009 to set up its UK operations in London. After graduating in HR and International Marketing, Richard then began his career at CAP Ventures (now InfoTrends Inc.) working as a strategic IT consultant. In 2003 he joined Ciao Surveys, one of the pioneering European firms in the online access panel industry, setting up the UK office to later culminate in his role as European Managing Director. Richard was part of the management team that lead the Ciao business to a successful sale to Microsoft Inc. in late 2008. Richard often represents Cint at different worldwide events and conferences including having presented papers at the Esomar Congress and at MRS events. Richard has also been a trainer for MRS workshops. Outside of Cint, Richard lives in London with his wife Katie and young son Stanley. A keen traveller, Richard’s real passion is sports, both watching and participating, although the latter is becoming less gracious as the years roll on. Richard still finds the time for 5-a-side football, enjoying the post-match beers more than the workout these days, and has a mainly unrewarding time of following his beloved West Ham United around the country.
