Rick Backora

Richard is responsible for the coordination and integration of Risk Management planning for United Capital. His expertise lies in working with advisers to provide sound impartial Risk Management solutions for their clients. Adept in concepts pertaining to legacy planning, business succession, and wealth management/retirement income solutions, utilizing insurance based strategies-acumen well suited to help improve the lives of our clients.

Richard has been in the insurance industry twenty years and began his career as a Financial Adviser. He has held various positions including Regional Vice President, Senior Vice President and Advanced Markets Director. He served as team leader and liaison for national independent broker dealers and financial institutions to develop holistic and macro-economic approach and delivery platforms. He has been a speaker at both regional and national conferences on various industry topics with the focus on being client centric.

He is a continual student of the industry. It is a rare moment where Richard is neither enrolled in a course nor teaching core industry material. He is matriculating through the American College to further his advanced study and has earned his CLTC designation.Richard is an avid sports fan, both watching and participating. He recently trained for and completed the Tough Mudder, and looks forward to competing in the Spartan Race and participating in Sealfit 20X.

On the lighter side he enjoys playing golf, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
