Robert Halperin

Robert Halperin is currently an independent investor and formerly a consultant to Greylock Management, a venture capital firm, from 1995 to 2004. From 1990 to 1994, Bob was Vice Chairman of the Raychem Corporation, a materials science company, and previously served as its President and CEO. His career at Raychem spanned 37 years.

Robert served on the Board of Directors of Vitria Technology Inc. (NASDAQ: VITR), a leading provider of eBusiness infrastructure software; also Stanford University Hospital and Clinics, Associates of Harvard Business School and Harvard Business Publishing Co., Cardica, Inc., Avid Technologies, and Picarro. He is a Cornell University Life Member, a recipient of the Harvard Business School Alumni Achievement Award in 1991, and a University of Chicago Trustee Emeritus since 2007.

Bob holds a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from the University of Chicago, a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
