Ryan Holiday is an American author, writer, and marketer. He is also an adviser for many clients, including Tucker Max and Robert Greene; and the former Director of Marketing for the fashion brand, American Apparel. He operates his official blog where he writes about his own personal development, philosophies, strategies, and life.

Holiday’s strategies are used as case studies by Twitter, YouTube, and Google as well as have been included in AdAge, the New York Times, WWD, CNBC, Gawker, and Fast Company. He was one of the first advertisers to embrace YouTube, and was responsible for their high profile campaign on viral videos. In May 2008, Holiday bought the internet meme site, FailDogs and served as its chief executive officer. One year later, in May 2009, he sold the site to I Can Has Cheezburger.

Holiday holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of California.
