Sam Bastia

Sam Bastia is the Vice President/Executive Director, Strategy at Verizon Communications.

Mr. Bastia is responsible for strategic planning, business formulation and global competitive strategy, within Verizon Innovation. Prior to Verizon, Mr. Bastia was Managing Director of Strategy and Business Development for Sun Microsystems (NASDAQ: JAVA), and in this capacity worked to develop M&A strategies, craft go to market campaigns as well as structure strategic business initiatives. Mr. Bastia was also served as the executive-in-charge of the Financial Services Vertical sales group.

Mr. Bastia also served as Corporate Vice President of Operations of Breakaway Solutions (NASDAQ: BWAY), Managing Director of Cambridge Technology Partners (now NOVELL, Inc.) and served as a Management Consultant in the corporate strategy group of Accenture.

Mr. Bastia is an avid golfer and fisherman.
