Scott Gelbard

Scott Gelbard is a Vancouver-based consultant, entrepreneur, and business advisor with more than a decade of experience in the field. He has an established career working in the cannabis industry as well. His ventures have taken him across the country, and today his primary job is as Managing Partner at Peak Ventures. His work began soon after he earned an undergraduate degree in Consumer Science from Colorado State University. This formed the foundation of his business understanding, and he continues to develop a thriving career upon his education. At Peak Ventures, he works with clients all over North America, Europe, and Asia as a consultant. He helps his international clientele learn the basics of the American marketplace so they can succeed in the country just as well as naturally born American businesses.

Prior to his position at Peak Ventures, Scott was a member of Apis Ventures in Denver, Colorado. As a leader of the company, Scott gained invaluable experience working in venture capital, business and transactional consulting, and investments in both the private and public sectors. He passes the many lessons learned as a consultant and entrepreneur to his high-net-worth, international clientele. He has learned the hard way what works and what doesn’t as the owner of a new business in the American marketplace.

As an entrepreneur, Scott has seen great success. He was able to grow his annual revenue to $250 million over just five years. Part of his success comes from his uncanny ability to spot a new business opportunity before it explodes, such as in 2009 when he became part of Colorado’s burgeoning cannabis industry. He is still heavily involved in the industry to this day. Scott is passionate about helping his clients see the same level of success he has.

Outside of his work, he is a very active and fitness-focused person, who prioritizes his children in all things. He can often be found coaching, skiing, doing CrossFit, or attending his sons' hockey games.
