Scott co-founded Avalara in 2004 and today is responsible for the vision and strategic direction of the company. He has a long history of advancing ideas that shake up the status quo, going back to his college days when he partnered with his roommate to launch Lifecycle, the most popular computerized exercise bike of all time.

Since then Scott oversaw development for AIRCOA, the largest independent hotel company in the U.S., and he has led and developed several companies including MetaInfo, a pioneering internet software firm that was ultimately acquired by Check Point.
