Shawn Olsson

Shawn Olsson is the Chief Commercial Officer at LENZ Therapeutics and has over a decade of successful experience taking new products to market and establishing new distribution channels in the pharmaceutical industry.

Prior to joining LENZ, he was VP of North American Marketing and Global Portfolio for Xellia Pharmaceuticals. He built the US Commercial organization from a division start-up with zero market exposure to a +50 employee organization with products that are now commonplace in the hospital. Prior to Xellia, he was the Commercial Lead for U.S. Opioid and Syringe Technology Portfolio at Pfizer, where he was accountable for $600 million in sales across 30 product lines and 4 sites. Before Pfizer, he was Director of the Global Generic Business Unit at Hospira, where he supported the $3 billion global business unit to drive revenue and margin growth. He specifically drove $300 million in sales through insight and speed in competitive intelligence. Mr. Olsson holds an MBA in Strategic Management and Finance from the University of Chicago. He received his Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan and Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Purdue University.
