Simon Gillham began his professional career in 1981 with Thomson and in 1991 was appointed Vice President Communications of Thomson Consumer Electronics. In 1994, he joined the CarnaudMetalbox Group. In 1999, he was appointed Vice President Global Communications for the Valeo Group, before being appointed Vice President Communication of Havas in April 2001. He joined Vivendi in 2007 as Senior Executive Vice President of Communications and Public Affairs.
He was appointed Chairman of ticketing activities (Digitick and See Tickets).
He is a Vice President of CA Brive Rugby Club and a graduate of Sussex and Bristol Universities. He was awarded the OBE in 2010 for services to Franco-British relations, by HM Queen Elizabeth II.
