With his first computer at six years of age and programming at ten, Sota won the 15-and-under division of the 2013 International Ruby Programming Competition and in 2016 started his instant-payment app service, ONE PAY. Unlike other services, a small business just has to take a photo of a credit card with the app and is only charged for each usage. He received a second round of funding of about $900,000.
