Stephanie Dua is Co-Founder & President of BEGiN, parent company of HOMER. After launching her career at McKinsey & Co.,Stephanie spent 15 years in public education, most recently as a Senior Advisor to the Common Core Standards effort.She served as the CEO of the New York City Education Department’s Fund for Public Schools, raising more than $165 million to support literacy and teacher-training efforts. In 2009, she was named to Crain’s New York Business 40 Under 40 list. She received a BA in geophysics from UCLA and a Masters from the Harvard Kennedy School where she was a Kennedy Fellow. Stephanie lives in Coconut Grove, FL, with her husband and three daughters.
