Susan Hertzberg

Ms. Hertzberg joined Boston Heart Diagnostics in July, 2010 as President and Chief Executive Officer. She has over 25 years of experience in the diagnostics and healthcare services industry and has played key executive roles in sales, marketing, and operations in both early stage and established diagnostics companies. From 2008 to 2010, Ms. Hertzberg was President and CEO of Ipsogen Inc., a start-up molecular diagnostics company with a portfolio of assays designed to personalize the treatment of blood and breast cancer. Under her leadership, she built a significant US presence, delivered exceptional top-line growth and positioned the company for future acquisition.

The Company was purchased by Qiagen Inc. shortly after her departure in early 2011. Ms. Hertzberg’s previous executive experiences were at Abbott Diagnostics where she focused on building a service delivery platform for top tier domestic and international customers and Oxford Health Plans, where she was responsible for all ancillary contracting. Ms. Hertzberg spent much of her career at Quest Diagnostics, progressing through a variety of management and executive positions, including sales, marketing, purchasing and supply chain management.

Ms. Hertzberg received an MBA degree from Columbia University and a BA degree in psychology from Clemson University. She serves on the Board of Directors for TheraCare, a private healthcare, rehabilitation, developmental and educational service organization focused on special educational needs.
