Sven Achter has been with Holtzbrinck Ventures since its foundation in 2000 and during this time supported companies such as Gameduell and AdScale from their foundation to market leadership. Sven is also in charge of the technology investments in the Holtzbrinck Ventures portfolio.
As the lead software architect Sven was responsible for the launch of Immobilienscout prior to his time at Holtzbrinck Ventures. Immobilienscout is now the largest real estate portal site in Europe and was acquired by Deutsche Telekom in 2007. Sven began his career as a consultant at Hewlett-Packard, where he implemented his first Internet projects.
Sven holds a Master degree in Information Technology from the Technical University of Munich and in 1996 received the research award from the Dimitris N. Chorafas Foundation.
