Sven Thate

Sven Thate is Managing Director at Bigrep GmbH since September 1st, 2020. He is responsible for Sales and Marketing, Product Management, as well as Hardware and Materials R&D.
Before joining BigRep he served in several functions at BASF SE in business and innovation management. Starting as R&D Lab- and Project Manager he moved on to technical and commercial marketing as well as business management functions in Germany and Asia for BASF Electronic Materials. Most recently he was investment manager at BASF Venture Capital with focus areas including Advanced Materials, Digitalization, and 3D Printing. He served on the boards of several start-ups and spinouts including BigRep. Sven Thate holds a doctorate in Chemical Engineering from University of Stuttgart.
