Tadaharu (Tad) Wakabayashi, MBA, a Venture Partner at Bay City Capital, is the principal and founder of TAD International. Mr. Wakabayashi has over 22 years of career experience in the Japanese pharmaceutical business. His experience includes serving as President for SmithKline Beecham in Japan and Vice President of SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceutical where he was responsible for building a $300 million ethical pharmaceutical business with over 950 employees. In addition, Mr. Wakabayashi has served as Executive Director of Sales at Banyu Pharmaceutical, and Director of Business Development and Board Member of Merck, Sharp, and Dohme (Japan) Co. He holds a MBA from California State University at Los Angeles, and attended the PMD course at Harvard Business School.
