From 2000 - 2001 Mr. Kanno served as vice president of Hitachi Telecom (USA), Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia. In that role, he led fiber optic product development efforts for the US market.
In 2001, Mr. Kanno was appointed as the senior vice president of the fiber optic transmission operation for Hitachi's Telecommunication Systems Division.
In this capacity, he was responsible for business operation and system development.
