Tatsuo Wakabayashi

Mr. Wakabayashi joined The Mitsubishi Trust and Banking Corporation (MTB) in 1977. From 1999 to 2003, he served as managing director and chief executive of Mitsubishi Trust International Limited, a securities subsidiary in London.

In October 2005, when MTB and UFJ Trust Bank Limited merged to form Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation (MUTB), Mr. Wakabayashi was executive officer and general manager of Business Division III. He became managing director of MUTB in June 2008, in charge of the Corporate Administration, Personnel, and Credit Supervisory divisions, and he was appointed senior managing director in June 2009. In June 2010, he was named senior managing director and chief executive of the Trust Asset Business Unit of MUTB and managing executive officer and group head of the Integrated Trust Assets Business Group of MUFG.

In June 2011, as senior managing director of MUTB, he assumed responsibility for planning units including the Corporate Planning Division and the Frontier Strategy Planning and Support Division and became a director of MUFG. In April 2012, he was appointed president of MUTB. He assumed the office of deputy chairman and chief audit officer of MUFG in April 2013.
