Tori Hughes

Tori Hughes, certified straight-shooter, does business development for Jumpstart. After years of selling national advertising for media companies in New York City and Nashville to Fortune 500 clients such as Ford, P&G and Kraft, a series of twists and turns eventually landed Tori at the Nashville Post. There her valued client base was comprised of local companies (some with regional and national scope) in business sectors such as banking, legal, accounting and commercial real estate. As publisher of Nashville Post, Tori became very in tune with the entrepreneurial world, dedicating an entire issue of the magazine to entrepreneurs and partnering with the Nashville Entrepreneur Center to premiere the Entrepreneurs Hall of Fame ceremony in 2013. After leaving Nashville Post, she had a short stint with a start-up company that helped put on Jumpstart Foundry’s Investor Day in 2014, and it was in this process that we knew we wanted her for the JSF team. Now Tori hustles with Vic and the rest of the team to show local and national companies the benefits of being associated with Jumpstart Foundry.

Having moved from New York City to Nashville, Tori is delighted to see how sound economic development decisions have catapulted Nashville to a new level in the past decade. And now she proudly touts the restaurant scene which she and her husband, Brian, enjoy regularly. She is a self-professed Gen Y expert, making half the staff feel like they’re being studied in their natural habitat. She claims to have a sizeable vegetable garden, but photographic evidence has yet to be supplied (pics or it didn’t happen).
