Uma Chowdhry

Uma Chowdhry, Ph.D., age 67, has served as a director of Baxter since 2012.

From 2006 until her retirement in 2010, Dr. Chowdhry served as senior vice president and chief science and technology officer at E. I. du Pont de Nemours & Company, where she was responsible for DuPont’s worldwide science and technology.

She started her career at DuPont in 1977 as a research scientist in the Central Research and Development Department (CR&D) at the DuPont Experimental Station and held positions of increasing responsibility in both technology and business management, including service as director of DuPont Engineering Technology and as vice president of CR&D.
