Vineet Upadhyay is a Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering graduate from the IIT Madras, Chennai and currently leading the technological research and development at Planys, thus functioning as its CTO. His professional interests span the domain of marine robotics with personal research focus on marine electronics/instrumentation, design of AUV systems, and dynamics/control/navigation of underwater vehicles. While pursuing engineering he was the founding team leader of IIT Madras’s Student Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) team which represented India at the International RoboSub Competition, San Diego, USA after winning the national championship in 2014.
