Vishal Parikh

I have always been thin and I am a vegetarian. I used to think that this basically gave me a free pass and that I was healthy, but that turned out not to be true. I would eat tons of sweets daily and not a very balanced diet. As a result, I discovered that at the age of 28, my blood sugar bordered on pre-diabetic. This was particularly concerning as I have diabetes on both sides of my family. Through carefully moderating my food and exercising religiously, I was able to bring my blood sugar down and avoid a difficult future.

Before Hi.Q, Vishal was CTO of a mobile startup called Pico, a Start-X-incubated company. Prior to that, he was software architect and co-founder of two startups in the clean tech space. Vishal has a Masters in Electrical Engineering from Stanford and also spent several years there researching microarchitecture. He also has a Bachelors in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a Bachelors in Math from the University of Texas.
