Vishal Sharma

Vishal Sharma is senior vice president of Middle East and Africa for Ecolab Inc., the global leader in water, hygiene and energy technologies and services that protect people and vital resources. With 2014 sales of $14 billion and 47,000 associates, Ecolab delivers comprehensive solutions and on-site service to promote safe food, maintain clean environments, optimize water and energy use and improve operational efficiencies for customers in the food, healthcare, energy, hospitality and industrial markets in more than 170 countries around the world.

In his current role, Sharma is responsible for driving execution, compliance and functional support for all Ecolab divisions within the Middle East and Africa region. Previously, Sharma was Ecolab’s market head for India.

Sharma joined Ecolab in 2013 after more than 12 years at Diversey, Inc. (Sealed Air Corporation), where he held management roles of increasing importance, most recently serving as global vice president, Hospitality, Healthcare, Commercial Laundry and Food Safety. Earlier in his career, Sharma also held marketing and sales roles at Mecklai Financial & Commercial Services Limited, GE Industrial and Mafatlal Industries Limited.

Sharma earned a post-graduate diploma in Management from the Institute of Management Development and Research in Pune, India, and a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from MIT Manipal in Mangalore, India.
