William G. Jurgensen

Mr. William. G. Jurgensen, also known as Jerry served as the Chief Executive Officer of Nationwide Financial Services Inc. from August 2000 to February 19, 2009.

Mr. Jurgensen served as the Chief Executive Officer at Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company (“Nationwide Mutual”), Nationwide Mutual Fire Insurance Company (“Nationwide Mutual Fire”), Nationwide Life Insurance Company (“Nationwide Life”) and Nationwide Life and Annuity Insurance Company (“Nationwide Life and Annuity”) from August 2000 to February 2009. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of Nationwide from July 2000 to February 2009. Mr. Jurgensen served as an Executive Vice President of First Chicago NBD Corporation from December 1, 1995 to 1998.

Mr. Jurgensen served as an Executive Vice President of Bank One Corporation from 1998 to 2000, where he headed corporate banking and commercial banking products. Prior to that, he was an Executive Vice President of Norwest Corporation. Mr. Jurgensen served as an Executive Vice President of First Chicago Corp. since January 11, 1991. He served as the Chairperson of the Board of Nationwide Life Insurance Company of America and Nationwide Life and Annuity Company of America from October 2002 to February 2009. Mr. Jurgensen served as the Chairman of the Board of Nationwide Financial Services Inc. from January 2001 to June 4, 2003. He served as the Chairman of FCC National Bank from 1996 to 1998. He has been a Director of ConAgra Foods, Inc., since August 2, 2002 and American International Group, Inc. since May 15, 2013. He serves as an Executive Director at Nationwide. He serves as a Director of Nationwide Life Insurance Co. He serves as a Trustee of Ohio State University. He served as a Director of Nationwide until February 2009.

Mr. Jurgensen served as a Director of Nationwide Financial Services Inc. from May 2000 to January 2009. Mr. Jurgensen served as a Director of The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company from May 6, 2009 to May 2013. He served as Director of the Board of Nationwide Life Insurance Company of America and Nationwide Life and Annuity Company of America from October 2002 to February 2009. He served as a Director of Nationwide Mutual, Nationwide Mutual Fire and Nationwide Life from May 2000 to February 2009. He served as a Director of Achieve, Inc. He served as a Director of several other companies within Nationwide, which is comprised of Nationwide Mutual, Nationwide Mutual Fire and all of their respective subsidiaries and affiliates (collectively, “Nationwide“) until February 2009. He served as a Trustee of Loyola University of Chicago.

He is a Member of numerous business and civic organizations, including the boards of the Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce, Law Enforcement Foundation of Ohio, Ohio State University Hospital and Columbus Children's Hospital. He also is a Member of the Financial Services Roundtable, The Business Roundtable, Columbus Downtown Development Corporation and The Columbus Partnership. Additionally, he serves on the boards of Newberry Library in Chicago, Achieve, Inc., Columbus College of Art & Design, Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges and Project GRAD.

Mr. Jurgensen earned a Bachelor's Degree in Finance and an MBA from Creighton University.
