Yoshikiyo Sakai

Yoshikiyo Sakai was named NTT DOCOMO, INC.’s Managing Director of the Sales and Marketing Division in July 2015, in addition to retaining his responsibility for Global Business and Corporate and his positions as a Senior Executive Vice President and a Member of the Board of Directors since June 2014.

Previously, he was responsible for Consumer Business and Marketing, also from June 2014. Prior to that, Mr. Sakai was a Senior Vice President of the Finance and Accounting Department and a Member of the Board of Directors at Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation from June 2012.

He became a Senior Vice President at NTT DOCOMO in June 2009, while retaining his position as Managing Director of the Public Relations Department from July 2008. Mr. Sakai was Managing Director of the Investor Relations Department from June 2005, prior to which he served as Senior Director of the Accounts and Finance Department from July 2002.

Mr. Sakai was named General Manager of the Finance and Accounting Department at Nippon Telegraph and Telephone East Corporation in July 1999. Prior to this, he served as General Manager of the Finance and Accounting Department at the NTT-East Provisional Headquarters of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation from January 1999.

Mr. Sakai entered Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Public Corporation in April 1980, after graduating from Kyushu University with a bachelor’s degree in economics. He was born on October 10, 1956.
