Yu Gong is founder and CEO of iQiyi, an online television and movie portal focused on high-definition content.
Gong graduated from Tsinghua University with a Ph.D in Automation Control Theory and Application. In 1997 he founded EnReach Technology Inc and served as General Manager of the company.
In 1999 Gong founded China’s first real estate portal www.focus.com.cn, serving as President and CEO.
In 2003 Gong joined Sohu and served as Vice President before being appointed as Chief Operating Officer.
In 2009 he was appointed Chief Operating Officer of UMessage a telephone hotline service supported by China Mobile. In 2010 he joined iQiyi as Chief Operating Officer. In 2013 iQiyi merged with Shanghai-based PPS. As a result of the merger, Gong now serves as CEO of the company.
