Yves de Balmann

Prior to joining Bregal in 2001, Yves de Balmann was Co-Head of Deutsche Bank's Global Investment Bank (GIB) and a member of the Board of the Bank's Global Corporates and Institutions Division (GCI).

In addition, Yves de Balmann was Co-Chairman and Co-CEO of Deutsche Bank Alex.Brown, Deutsche Bank's US-based investment banking and retail brokerage business. GIB was responsible for mergers and acquisitions as well as for the global origination, structuring, and underwriting of corporate equity and debt, including leveraged and acquisition financing. GIB was also responsible for the firm's private equity and venture capital investments.

From 1988 to June 1999 (date of the merger of Bankers Trust with Deutsche Bank), Yves de Balmann was at Bankers Trust, where he rose to the position of Vice Chairman of Bankers Trust Corporation, Co-Chairman and Co-CEO of BT Alex.Brown and Co-Head of Global Investment Banking.

Yves de Balmann's banking career began in 1973 at Citibank, where he was Division Executive responsible for all aspects of Interest Rate and Currency Derivatives, and Proprietary Trading in North America. Yves de Balmann left Citibank in 1987 to run the Capital Markets business at E.F. Hutton, later named Shearson Lehman Hutton.
