He is the founder and Chairman of the Neurotechnology Industry Organization, a major trade association representing over 100 neurotech companies, brain research institutes and patient advocacy groups. He also founded NeuroInsights, a neuroscience-focused market research firm, where he created the NASDAQ NeuroInsights Neurotech Index (NERV), a stock tracking index of public neurotech companies. He sits on the advisory boards of the McGovern Institute for Brain Research at MIT, the Center for Neuroeconomic Studies and the Penn Center for Neuroscience and Society.
