Zain A. Gulamali is a venture capital investor and technology executive with 15+ years of experience in enterprise, consumer, and healthcare technology investing, as well as M&A, startup operations, strategy, and business development. He is currently a Venture Investor for the Amazon Alexa Fund, Amazon’s VC fund investing in artificial intelligence (AI), frontier tech, robotics, voice, and digital health across consumer and enterprise. Over the past 5 years, Zain has sourced, led, or managed approximately 30 Alexa Fund VC investments, including Greenlight (fintech) - $2.3-billion valuation, Owlet Baby Care (consumer health) - $1.1-billion exit, SmartRent (property tech) - $2.2-billion exit, SevenRooms (property tech), Fiddler (AI), Embodied (robotics), and June Oven (consumer / deep tech). He has spearheaded the Alexa Fund's investment focus on AI and ML tools, enterprise and collaboration, healthcare, aging, robotics, property tech, financial tech, and mobility.
